Report “Decarbonization Is Already Here”

The first report in Poland to present such concrete evidence of companies’ real decarbonization efforts – not only by large enterprises, but also by micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. The publication is based on data from the Foundation’s Carbon Footprint Calculator (now used by more than 2,000 companies), interviews with entrepreneurs, and an analysis of climate strategies.

Report “Reporting Alone Won’t Save the Climate. Company Decarbonization – Climate Competitiveness 2.0”

Published in early 2024, the report highlights that climate reporting – although becoming a standard – does not in itself lead to emission reductions or enhance companies’ climate competitiveness. Since business is responsible for more than 70% of emissions, companies must urgently learn how to draw actionable conclusions from ESG reports and begin real decarbonization efforts if they are to strengthen climate competitiveness and reduce negative impacts on the climate.

Report “Better late than never. Carbon footprint reduction and climate competitiveness of Polish companies”

The report released in January 2022 serves as a comprehensive guide to companies’ climate competitiveness. It draws attention to the significant delays of Polish businesses in implementing climate strategies. Only a few measure their carbon footprint, and just a handful have ambitious, verified targets and clearly defined action plans. The report provides a better understanding of the climate and energy transition challenges currently faced by entrepreneurs.

E-book “Carbon Footprint Guide”

The Carbon Footprint Guide was created for Polish entrepreneurs who need support in making the right decisions that will lead to real reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and help minimize the negative impact of their businesses on the climate. The guide serves as a comprehensive resource on the concept of the carbon footprint, methods of calculating it, and strategies for reducing emissions. It can be an excellent introduction and motivation to take the first step towards sustainability reporting in the environmental area, as well as toward real decarbonization.

E-book “How to Write About Climate? A Guide for Journalists”

This guide, aimed at journalists, serves as a concise compendium on how to write about climate issues. The publication was created in cooperation with zielona.gazeta.pl and Purpose Climate Lab. Its content was developed by experts from the Climate&Strategy Foundation, the Institute of Public Affairs, and the Science on Climate portal. The guide covers essential facts about climate change, climate disinformation, and greenwashing, while also raising awareness among journalists about the role and impact of business on climate change.

E-book “How to Write About Climate 2.0. What is Climate Disinformation and How to Counter It?”

The second part of the guide for journalists focuses on climate disinformation and was initiated by the Climate&Strategy Foundation. Its authors are Patryk Strzałkowski from Gazeta.pl and Filip Szulik-Szarecki from the project Wojownicy Klawiatury. The authors highlight the problem of climate disinformation, which poses a serious challenge and threat, as it can delay the climate transition. Journalists, to whom this publication is addressed, play a crucial role in countering climate disinformation.
