On December 9–10, the Green Weimar Triangle meeting took place: Shaping the Future of European Industry Together, during which recommendations for a Clean Industrial Deal were presented. Our Foundation, a co-author of the presented report, was represented at the summit by Łukasz Broniewski, co-founder of Climate&Strategy.

The white paper presented at the summit, “Towards a Coherent Clean Industrial Deal”, combines the perspectives of experts from Weimar Triangle countries, including advisory bodies, think tanks, and industry representatives. As a result, it reflects national best practices and the compromises necessary to reach consensus. It focuses on governance, financing, and a just transition.

As industrial powerhouses collectively responsible for 43% of the EU’s sold industrial production and around 38% of all clean technology agreements in the EU, the Weimar Triangle countries have a key role to play in ensuring that the Clean Industrial Deal becomes a coherent initiative supporting the transition to climate neutrality – while leveraging the strengths of the single market.

We are pleased that climate discussions are taking place at such a high international level, and that our Foundation has the opportunity to play an active role in them.
