Cooperation: Our Foundation joined the European Responsible Investment Network initiative

In September 2024, our Foundation joined the ERIN (European Responsible Investment Network) initiative, coordinated by ShareAction. 

The European Responsible Investment Network (ERIN), coordinated by ShareAction, aims to amplify the voice of European civil society through joint efforts to improve accountability and investment practices, and to mobilize investor power in promoting sustainable corporate conduct. ERIN brings together over 20 organizations from across Europe, including GermanWatch, ClientEarth, Global Witness, and the Carbon Tracker Initiative. 

In 2024, ERIN prepared an EU Election Manifesto outlining policy recommendations for the next European Commission, including: 

• accelerating Europe’s transition to a net-zero and inclusive economy, 
• tackling greenwashing and social-washing, 
• introducing a continuous and mandatory due diligence obligation for investors across the entire value chain. 

Joining the ERIN initiative gives our Foundation access to knowledge, tools, and platforms that will enable more effective action in engaging financial institutions in sustainable development. 

We look forward to future collaboration with the ERIN network, which will have a tangible impact on the green transformation of the financial system.
